Text Box: Does it look like this at your house? No worries—it will, and soon. Or if not exactly this, then whatever spring looks like where you live. It’s true! Winter WILL end! But that doesn’t mean we still won’t find time, in the midst of gardening and cleaning and hiking and playing outdoors in the fresh sweet air, to do what we love most—READ. And I have just the thing to fill those quiet moments… Well, friends, my mini-series, “THE TAKEN,” is finished. As I mentioned before, this is a series I’d been wanting to write for some time. Those of you familiar with my “STARRS OF THE WEST “ series,and “”SECRET AGENT SAM” in particular, will recall that Cory Pearson had vowed at the conclusion of that book to find his four lost siblings, two younger brothers and twin baby sisters, who were taken from him after the tragic deaths of their parents. The new series consists of four books, each telling one siblings’ story. The first book, “DANGER SIGNALS,” was an April 2008 release, and received a 4.5 star review from “Romantic Times.” This is Wade Callahan’s story. Wade is the oldest of Cory’s four lost siblings. Also earning 4.5 stars from “Romantaic Times” was the August, 2008, release, “DAREDEVIL’S RUN,” set against the backdrop of California’s world class whitewater river, The Kern. The third book in the series will be out this May, 2009. “LADY KILLER” features Cory’s baby sister Brooke, and his best friend Tony Whitehall, whom you met in the thriller, “SECRET AGENT SAM.” Take a look at the cover, top left of this page, and click on it to read an excerpt. The fourth and final installment of the series, now titled, “KINCAID’S DANGEROUS GAME,” will follow immediately, in June. It’s the story of Cory’s last remaining sibling, Brenna, and as you may have guessed from the title, features the private investigator you’ll be reading about in the first three books in the series, Holt Kincaid. New projects are in the works: A Christmas ghost story, a fifth installment in THE TAKEN. (But how, you ask, when there were only four siblings and they’ve all been found? Stay tuned!)
