Text Box: Is it Autumn yet where you are?Or are you still waiting for those first leaves to turn and the woods become glorious with the rich goldens, scarlets, yellows, purples and rusty browns of fall? Never mind—autumn is on its way, the days are growing shorter, and soon the lovely crisp outdoors weather will turn to the frost and bluster of winter. Time to stock up on plenty of reading material to see you through those long winter evenings! As I reported last fall, I’ve been busy working on my mini-series, formerly known as “MISSION: THE LOST,” now retitled, “THE TAKEN.” As I mentioned before, this is a series I’ve wanted to write for some time. Those of you familiar with my “STARRS OF THE WEST “ series,and “”SECRET AGENT SAM” in particular, will recall that Cory Pearson had vowed at the conclusion of that book to find his four lost siblings, two younger brothers and twin baby sisters, who were taken from him after the tragic deaths of their parents. The new series consists of four books, each telling one siblings’ story. The first book, “DANGER SIGNALS,” an April release, is still available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. This is Wade Callahan’s story. Wade is the oldest of Cory’s four lost siblings. You can read an excerpt by clicking on the cover art on the left. An August, 2008, release, is Wade’s younger brother Matt’s story, “DAREDEVIL’S RUN,” set against the backdrop of California’s world class whitewater river, The Kern. You can check out the cover on the left, and click on it to read an excerpt. And you can still order your copy on Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com. The third book in the series has been completed and is tentatively titled, “LADY KILLER.” It features Cory’s baby sister Brooke, and his best friend Tony Whitehall, whom you met in the thriller, “SECRET AGENT SAM.” It is scheduled for release in May, 2009. Watch for an excerpt on this website, coming soon. The fourth and final installment of the series is also nearing completion. Tentatively titled, “KINCAID’S GAMBLE,” it’s the story of Cory’s last remaining sibling, Brenna, and as you may have guess from the title, features the private investigator you’ll be reading about in the first three books in the series, Holt Kincaid.
